Oh Christmas Tree.

This past week we went up to Stephanies families cabin in Island Park, where we spent a couple of days and cut down our Christmas tree. We left the cabin and had Thanksgiving at Stephs grandparents and it was very good. We then woke up at 3:30 in the morning to participate in Black Friday which was totaly crazy but we wre able to get everything that we tried to get and a few other things. We got most of our Christmas shopping done for cheap. Luckily we never got trampled or had anything stolen out of our hands, but we did talk to some people that had stuff taken from them by other people, people are so crazy to save a couple of bucks.
That is our most recent adventure.

Here we all are up at the cabin.

My father in law trying to get a little to close. Trying to intrude on my three feet of comfort zone.
Well this was the origainal tree we were going to use but we decided that 30 feet was a little to tall.

This is what later became our tree we just cut the top off of the tree.

Here is Steph decorating the tree for some reason the camera would only take fuzzy pictures maybe from all the tree lights.

Here is our completed tree.

26 Weeks and a baby shower to boot.

Here she is 26 weeks and counting. We can see him move now he pushes out her belly and rolls around. A couple of days ago I was pushing on Stephs stomach where he was and he would push back so we had our first father son bonding moment.

Here is Steph and her also prego sister Alissa who is 20 weeks along and finds out what she is having tomorrow. So our Conner will have a little cousin to play with on both sides since my other sister in law Lena is also pregnant and due four days before us.

This is my sis Whitney who threw the shower putting up streamers and Alissa handing over tape.

This is Stephs littlest sister Teresa and of course they are hovering around the food.
This would be one of the best parts the loot. Look how excited she is having all her freinds and family there to shower her with gifts for our unborn child.

Stephs mom and sisters and family and freinds, enjoying some festivities and food. The crazy thing is Chelsea looks like that all the time.

Thanks to everybody that came and for the gifts that were given and for those who gave of your time to put together this shower for our little child. He thanks you with a kick and a punch through moms belly.

Into The Wild!

Last Friday Steph and I released my big chichlid into the wild at the pond in the Benson science building. You see my fish is an aggressive African chichlid and he got so big that he killed everything else in my fish tank and anything that we put in with him he killed even fish of his own species if they were smaller. Fish his size are hard to find and really expensive, so instead of flushing him we found that there were chichlids in the pond in the Benson building. So Friday night around 10:00 P.M. we snuck into the buidling and put him in the pond with the other fish. there are some bigger than him and some smaller so he fits right in. Here are some pics of the realease.

He measures around 5"

We smuggled him in my back pack,
just after we put him in a security
guard came around the corner.
Here he goes into his new home. It was
either this or the toilet.

Just me saying good bye.

Here he is in his new home.

22 Weeks

Here is Steph at 22 weeks along, the baby is really active now and she can feel him move all the time. I am able to feel him as well when he is moving I will put my head on Stephs stomach and listen to him move then he will kick me in the head, so he is already in alot of trouble when he comes out.

Now I think steph is finally passing me up in the belly department you be the judge. I may be pushing out a little but not much.

So we have continued out journey of gathering all the necessary baby gear for when the little tike comes out so here are our recent purchases and purchases from grandparents in the little boys behalf.

This will be his car seat and stroller we just ordered it yesterday so it is on its way.
Also my mom bought us some sweet crib bedding with a mobile.
I also bought him these pimp trains. Sorry Vicki they are not thomas the trains.

My wonderful mother inlaw also is hooking us up with this, pack and play so when we come to visit our child has a place to rest his head that is not in a shower filled with pillows. (kevin and lena know what I am talking about)

So this is what we have gatherd thus far with still lots more to go. The next big thing on our list is of course the crib. We are trying to accumulate stuff slowly so the dollar figure is spread over the months we also have time to wait for coupons and good deals. These are some of the places we look for coupons and stuff, good ol Ty Robbins told me about these two. www.dealcatcher.com and www.stealdeals.net these two have been very good to us, you just have to be patient and the good deals will come.

We will keep you all updated on the progress of the little one and us aswell.

It's a Boy!

So we had our appointment today well actually it was supposed to be yesterday but the receptionist told us the wrong day and wrote the wrong day on the appointment card but shceduled it for yesterday. So we got there and they did not know why we were there so they got us in anyway and then we waited and waited and watched numerous people that came in after us go by, so luckily one of the nurses recognized us and brought us back the wonderful receptionist did not put in the computer that we were there so they did not know to get us. But luckily as soon as we got back there things went alot quicker and we were in the ultra sound room within no time and hooked up and ready to go. So everything is perfect on the baby Steph is 20 weeks and 4 days today and according to the ultra sound she should be 20 weeks and 4 days. So we have a healthy perfect baby on our hands. I could clearly see it was a boy and promptly spurted it out before the doctor did.
We were able to experience all this on our three year aniversary so it was a cool present from our son to know what he is. Steph and I were so excited last night that we were hardly able to sleep, it was like trying to sleep the night before Christmas when you were a kid. So after the doctors appointment we went to dinner at Wingers and then celebrated by buying a boy baby outfit. So it was an excellent anniversary and baby appointment.
I tried to put up the vedio of the ultrasound but I have no idea how so if I figure it out later I will put it up.

New update

One and half weeks until we find out what the little whipper snapper is. We are both really excited to find out so we can put a name to it and begin the joy of buying the mounds of baby stuff we need to keep it happy and so it has a place to sleep. Steph and I both agree that when Kevin and Lena go for their next ultrasound that they should have the person doing it call us and tell us what it is so our curiosity will be subdued.
Steph feels the baby move all the time now it is particularly active during her classes, so the kid must like accounting or is bored so does flips and tickles mom to pass the time. I have felt it move twice now which is a cool feeling so I know there is either a baby or alien in there either way it will eventualy come out of her stomach, it's just how the natural way or the pop out of the middle of the stomach and run away way only time will tell.

18 Weeks

Ok Ladies and gentelmen here it is.

It has gotten bigger and still continues to grow. Other recent developments are in no particular order, Steph has felt the baby move a couple of times, and somtimes when she is on her back you can feel where the baby is in her stomach. So this has been exciting for us to know it's still in there. We go to find out on October 8th what the baby is and if any body else recognizes that date it is because it is our three year anniversary, so what a present. Steph will also be starting H&R block classes tomorrow which she will have every Monday and Thursday night from 6 to 9 so she can complete her internship during tax season and graduate. So that means next April Steph, Whitney and I will be graduating together with Lindsey soon to follow in a couple of years. We hope you all enjoy the picture for now and the next one will be up at 22 weeks and she will be alot bigger.

The Big Trip!

Well last weekend we took a trip with our freinds Scott and Kimber. We went to the Lewis and Clark Caverns. After seeing the cool caves in Montana we left and traveled to Spokane, and hung out there for a couple days. Of course the first place we went was Cabelas, then we went to the park in the middle of the city where they were having a festival. We checked out he malls and REI we rode the worlds shortest Gondola over Spokane falls.

An old man stopped us on a bridge over the falls and told us that this past spring the water was high enough they closed the walking brdidge because the water was going over the top, it is a little low right now.

Of course we couldent conclude our trip without a big wooden truck.

And running with metal people.

Back to School

Steph goes back to school on Monday, which she is dredding but it is her last semester so she will have no more after December. I will be taking two classes since it is my off track which will make my last semester easier with only two hard classes left to take. With only two classes for my last semester it will make it easier to have the baby come, although I am sure I will still use the excuse of school so I don't have to get up all the time in the middle of the night. (It probably wont work any way)

Making of a baby

Ok here is the first of many to come progressive pictures of the pregression of my first born child this is Stephanie at 14 weeks, she is finally getting a belly so it looks like there is somthing there. At this stage I call it my little lemon head since that is the size that it is.

Blog #1

Well people this is Nathan and my first attempt at somthing other than email on the web. So hopefully this will all turn out ok, Steph will probably take this over later which is what I am hopeing will happen because she is way better at this than I am. If anything my bad spelling and bad punctuation will drive her nuts and she will fix everything.
