Memorial Day Weekend

Nathan had Memorial Day off of work so we decided to do something fun. He took a half day on Friday and we were able to go and hang out with my family. We went to my Mom's preschool graduation on Friday night and found these sweet bikes in the chair closet so we had fun riding them around the gym. I couldn't stop laughing at Nathan! :) If you look close you can see that they have seat belts on them (only Nathan is being safe and is wearing his) - I have never seen that before!

On Saturday morning we went up to my family's cabin in Island Park to spend the rest of our vacation. We had lots of fun playing games, going on walks, and hanging out by the campfire. It was Conner's first bonfire experience and he just slept through the whole thing! My Grandpa sold a bunch of trees from off of the land around our cabin and it was sad to see so many trees gone! Me and my sisters bravely climbed onto the big pile of trees and posed for the camera.Here is Conner and Kynzee right before we went on a walk. They look like little hoodlums in their hoodies! Conner was a little grouchy because we woke him up from a nap to come with us. Nathan was really excited to be able to go fishing over the weekend. Unfortunately all he caught was a tree, a boat, and himself.... If you ask him about it he will blame it on the wind. :)

Cousins Galore!

Conner is lucky to have cousins just weeks apart from him on both sides of the family. Unfortunately neither of them are boys for him to run around with. I hope that they will still be close friends- we will tell him that it is ok to play tea party every once in a while haha. Conner will get two more cousins by the end of the year! I am so excited that Vicki will be having a boy and I am hoping that Whitney will also have a boy!

It was so much fun being pregnant with my sister Alissa and with my sister in law Lena. I always had someone to complain to who knew just how I felt! Below are some before and after pics.

Blessings and Birthdays

Last Sunday was our niece Kynzee's baby blessing so we were already able to go back to Rexburg for a visit. I stayed for a few extra days for my mom's birthday and it was so much fun! Here are a few pictures from the week.

Mock Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago we got Conner's pictures taken but I didn't think that they turned out too great. Here are a few of the pictures that turned out alright...

Inspired by the recent photo shoot, I decided to do a photo shoot of our own. (This is what happens when I am alone all day with a cute baby...)

Big Move to Twin Falls

We moved here to Twin Falls last Saturday and have been spending the past week unpacking and trying to learn where everything is in this city. We were able to find all of the essentials... Winco, Wendys, Cold Stone, the Mall, Target, Wells Fargo, and the Public Library. (They do not yet have a Walmart but one is being built!) So far we like it here but I do miss my family! (I know that we are only a few hours away but it seems like alot further!) The thing that I miss most is living right next to my sister because she is my best friend- I love you liss! My whole family was able to come and help us move into our apartment and we visited Shoshone Falls while they were here. It was really neat- here are some pics from our visit.

Nathan started his new job today and he thinks that he will really like it there. It was nice to see him all dressed up and out of his jeans and free BMC t-shirts. I am now officially in charge of updating the blog now because I'm not working anymore and will be home all day with Conner. It is just me and my sweet little baby boy! :)

Graduation!

Myself and Steph and my sister Whitney graduated last weekend. It is really nice to have that done and out of the way. So now that we are graduated it means it is time to move so this Saturday we are moving from the big city of Rexburg and moving to Twin Falls so I can start my new job.

This picture is for my Aunt Lori thanks for the blanket and pirate hat Conner loved being a pirate for a couple of seconds until he started moving to much to keep that hat on.

Here is Conner being happy. He likes to just lay on the floor and flayl about for about half an hour at a time. It is fun because he coo's and squels with joy and he is constantly kicking his right leg, so I am guessing he is right footed.

Nathan and I have been tagged by Whit to tell our love story. :) Nathan is usually always the one who updates our blog but I thought that I had better do this post so that I can make sure that everything gets told right- haha.

1. Where did you meet your husband/wife? What was the first thing he/she said to you?
We met the second day after I moved to Rexburg to start school my first semester- I sure didn't waste any time! My roomate Mandy introduced us. (Thanks again Mandy- We owe you!) That night Mandy said “Let's go hang out with my friend Nathan.” I was always up for meeting boys so I was like “Ok!” So we went over to his apartment and the first time that I saw him he was playing his guitar. (Sooo hot!) Speaking of, I don't think I have seen him play since.... I don't remember what the first thing he said to me was but I assume it was just “hi.” :) We played an intense game of spoons with both mine and his roomates. I wouldn't say that it was love at first sight (I actually thought that he was a bit unfriendly at first.) but I did think that he was super cute and he definitely got much “friendlier” after that! :)

2. Where was your first date?
We hung out quite a few times with groups of friends before we had our first date. (We watched the Secret Window and he TRIED putting his arm around me, we went to a bonfire and I LET him put his arm around me, and we went to the fireworks on the 4th of July and we cuddled) Our first “real” alone date was on the day that he asked me to be his girlfriend. (He asked “So uh can I call you my girlfriend?”) He took me to watch Spiderman 2 and no it did not end with a kiss...

3. When was your first kiss?
Our first kiss was a whole week after we had been boyfriend/girlfriend. Lame huh! He was nervous so I patiently waited. When it finally happened we were in Mandy's room with all of my roomates listening to music. I was starting to fall asleep on the bed and he leaned over and kissed me. I guess he was too chicken to kiss me while I was awake! :)

4. Did you have a long or short engagement/courtship?
In this area our courtship would be considered long. We were together 14 months (including engagement) before we were married. We were engaged forever though- 6 months. And we were apart for most of the time because he had to go home to work on the farm during our off track. I don't think I have talked on the phone so much in my life!

5. Where did you get engaged?
We got engaged about a week after I had gotten my wisdom teeth pulled so I had sore chubby cheeks. I had a favorite spot by the river where you can see the temple really well and that is where he got down on one knee. He had my ring in his wallet and when he wipped it out of course I said yes!

6. Where did you get married?
We got married in the Idaho Falls temple on October 8, 2005. It was one of the happiest days of my life. (Now that I have Conner I have more than one “happiest day!”) Nathan has been my best friend ever since- I love you baby! :)
