Jayden's 1st Bday!

I really can't believe that my baby is already one! It always amazes me how fast time flies. Jayden definitely isn't a baby anymore...which is affirmed by him having his own opinion. He has the cutest little personality and is constantly making us laugh. We are so lucky to have him in our family!

Since his birthday fell on a Sunday we took him and Conner to Hop 2 It (the place with lots of bouncy houses) on Saturday. Both Conner and Jayden had so much fun! They both had permanent grins on their faces the entire time. As a parent there is nothing better than watching your kids have a good time!

On Sunday we had a Lego themed party with my family after church. In case you couldn't tell that is what Jayden's cake is supposed to be...legos...

Jayden Dell the birthday boy!

I was curious to see whether or not he would dig into his cake. He licked some frosting off of his fingers but he didn't really start going to town until we gave him a fork.

Jayden opening his presents... I mean Conner and Kynzee opening his presents in front of him... poor Jayden! At least the toys were handed over as soon as they were open. Some of the things that he got were a musical telephone, a see n' say, a monkey, a baby swing to go on the swingset, a musical stacker toy, and this cool blue chair. For some reason he has an obsession with chairs. He loves to climb in and out of them over and over again. It's not a party without wheel barrel rides!

Happy Birthday Jayden Dell we love you so much!

Easter!

Our Easter celebration started when we were in Idaho Falls the weekend before Easter. We dyed Easter eggs… we bought a “monster egg” kit so the kids got to put eyes, mouths, and hair on their eggs.
We had an Easter egg hunt outside for the kids and they thought that it was great! The night before Easter Conner left out some carrots and water for the Easter bunny. He was so thoughtful… he even asked “Does the Easter bunny like ice?” He helped me fill their baskets up with Easter grass and left them out for the Easter bunny to fill. He was incredibly excited for morning to come. When Nathan was putting him to bed he said “I’ll lay here until the Easter bunny comes and then I ‘ll come down and see what he brought me!” The next morning when Conner came and got us out of bed he already had a small pile of candy gathered and he kept yelling “The Easter bunny left me eggs and fruit!” I was confused until he pointed out the carrot shaped “eggs” that we filled. It took Conner forever to find all of the eggs because after finding each one he had to open it, sort the jelly beans from the wrapped candy, and have a sample.

Jayden was happy just sucking on random eggs and eating the treats from his eggs. We filled all of his eggs with different kinds of crackers...although he did get a jelly bean or two… which produced lots of colored drool…

The kids got spoiled with lots of books… Jayden’s musical book was a big hit with both kids!

It was great being able to go to church afterwards to be reminded of the true meaning of Easter. Although it was harder getting Conner to sit still because he was all hopped up on sugar! After church our friends had us over for a fancy Easter dinner… it was a great day!

A Week in Washington

The kids and I left Nathan a bachelor for a week while we vacationed in Washington with his family. His sister Whitney was going up for a visit and asked us to come along. It was a looonng car ride with three kids but we made it! We got to meet our new niece Edyn and that alone made the trip worth it! Conner really liked her and it was so sweet! But when I ask him if he wants another baby in our family he says “No, just baby Jayden!” haha. At least he will have lots of time to prepare himself… no baby anytime soon!

Conner had SO much fun at Nana and Grandpa’s. He got to do all of the things that he always looks forward to doing whenever we visit. He got a ride in Grandpa’s tractor… heaven!
We also had to go see Grandpa’s cow… always a huge hit with all of the kids. Conner ran around the majority of the time mooing at random cows. He also thought that it was great that he could create a stampede by running at the cows...Nana and Grandpa got a new gator right before we came to visit and Conner thought that it was the most fun thing ever. The weather was bad the whole time that we were there but Conner rode it almost every single day anyway. He loved riding it with his cousins but insisted on being the driver the majority of the time. He got really good at maneuvering it around and using the reverse.
Conner and Naomi playing together… it was a very rare moment so I had to take a picture!Grandpa’s lap is all of the kids’ favorite spot to sit. Jayden thought that it was hilarious to take his hat off and put it back on over and over again. One day we left the kids behind and all us girls got to go to Tri-Cities to shop. I was introduced to the awesomeness of Hobby Lobby… already having withdrawls! We had a lot of fun but it was great to see Nathan again! I was forbidden to leave again for at least the next few months!
